In service to the Central Ohio community since 1987, the Habitat for Humanity - Greater Columbus  Affiliate has built over 200 houses, providing homes for approximately 1000 people of modest means, who now flourish, grow and experience their dreams with the full benefits of home ownership. An important element of Habitat for Humanity-Greater Columbus’ program is support of an overseas Habitat affiliate.

Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization has built more than 300,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1,500,000 people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

Randall Wallace, screenwriter, Braveheart,  and chairman of Hollywood for Habitat for Humanity writes, "Habitat for Humanity is a perpetual motion miracle: everyone who receives, gives and everyone who gives, receives. If you want to live complacent and uninspired, stay away from Habitat; come close to Habitat and it will change you, and make you part of something that changes the world."
